A:
Check
to see if your machine has NT Administrator
Rights. If not, login as an
Administrator and install normally. |

Win Squared work on a Local Area Network?
A:
Yes.
By installing Win Squared in a shared folder or
directory on the server, it is available to
any PC or workstation on the network. |

What file should be
run to start Win Squared using Windows Explorer or
My Computer?
A:
Win Squared can
started by running the WinProg.mde file
(version 2.0) or the WinSq30.mde
file
(version 3.0). |

Some of the reports
contain blank pages, can this be prevented?
A:
Win Squared reports
are formatted in inches. If a metric paper
size such as "A4" is chosen in the
computer's default page or printer setting,
blank pages or extra lines may result. The
blank pages can be eliminated by choosing a
paper size such as 8 1/2 by 11 inches. |

How do I
minimize the size of Win Squared?
A:
Use
the Optimize Database command in the Win Squared
program group to reduce the size of Win Squared.
This will also improve the performance of Win Squared.
The Optimize Database command should be used
every couple of weeks. |

How do I
transfer Plans to another computer?
A:
Export
the Plan using the “Export” feature found
in the Open Plan dialog. This will
create two files (a .neg and a .neb file) in
the target directory. Copy both files to
the desired computer and import the Plan using
the “Import” feature found in the Open
Plan dialog. |

Can I copy Win Squared
to another computer?
A:
No.
Win Squared will not run properly unless it is
installed from the original CD. |

The
Win Squared installation program freezes at
99%. The progress bar reads "Skipping
file: C:\WINNT\fonts\Tahomabd.ttf" What
should I do?
A:
Another
program is using the Tahomabd.ttf file
hindering the installation process. To resolve
this, shut down all other open programs and
run the Win Squared installation program
again. |

Why are some
colors unevenly displayed on some forms?
A:
Some
of Window’s alternate color themes may
distort the colors in Win Squared. To resolve
this, choose the “Windows Standard”
setting in the Display folder of the Windows
Control Panel. |

Why do some of the
Win Squared forms not fit completely in the screen?
A:
If
Window’s is using large fonts, and the
screen resolution is 640 x 480, and the
Window’s taskbar is showing, some of Win Squared
forms may not fit in the computer screen. To
resolve this, increase the screen resolution,
use small fonts, or hide the taskbar. |

A message box says
Win Squared needs to be repaired. What do I do?
A:
Use
the Optimize Database command in the Win Squared
program group. This command will repair
Win Squared without loss of data. |

Will Win Squared version
3.0 overwrite stored plans and profiles from
version 2.0?
A:

Is there a version
of Win Squared for Macintosh computers?
A:
No.
A Macintosh version of Win Squared is not available

How do I uninstall
Win Squared?
A:
Run
Uninstall.exe. This file will be found in the
directory where Win Squared was originally
installed. |

What software
should I use to read the Win Squared Manual?
A:
The
manual is stored in a "pdf" format.
If your computer does not currently have
software capable of reading the "pdf"
format, you may separately install Adobe(R)
Acrobat(R) Reader from the Win Squared CD. To
install Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) Reader, open the
AdobeAcrobatReader Folder on the Win Squared CD and
run rs32e301.exe.
The
manual is also stored in a "rtf"
format. |
